The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's basketball team achieved a significant milestone by securing the 1,000th win in their program's history. This achievement came with a decisive victory over Davenport, ending in a score of 110-51. The Lakers now hold an impressive record of 17-1 overall and are undefeated in league play at 7-0.

Davenport initially scored the first points of the game, but GVSU quickly responded with a 12-0 run. Key players such as Rylie Bisballe and Ellie Droste contributed to this early lead by scoring three-pointers. Despite Davenport's efforts to regain momentum, GVSU closed the first quarter leading 30-12.

The second quarter saw the Lakers extend their lead further with a series of scoring runs, including free throws from Paige Vanstee that brought them to 50 points. By halftime, GVSU was leading comfortably at 60-23.

In the second half, Kathryn Schmidt's early contributions helped maintain GVSU's dominance as they extended their lead beyond 40 points. Although Davenport managed some successful plays in the fourth quarter, they could not close the gap significantly. A notable performance by MacKenzie Bisballe included her career-high score of 21 points.

Paige Vanstee continued her strong form with another double-double performance consisting of 16 points and ten rebounds. Other significant contributors were Ellie Droste with three triples for a total of 15 points and Rylie Bisballe who added twelve points to the tally.
