GVSU women's basketball faces Roosevelt in final road trip game

The GVSU women's basketball team is preparing for the final game of their four-game road trip, set to face Roosevelt University in Chicago. The match will take place on Monday night at 6:30 Eastern Time.

GVSU enters the game with a six-game winning streak, including a recent victory over Davenport where they secured their 1,000th program win with a score of 110-51. In that game, MacKenzie Bisballe led the team with a career-high 21 points. Paige Vanstee achieved her second consecutive double-double, while Ellie Droste contributed 15 points and five assists. Rylie Bisballe, Kathryn Schmidt, and Nicole Kamin also scored in double digits. The Lakers recorded 33 assists and outrebounded Davenport 42-25. They currently hold a record of 17-1 overall and lead the GLIAC standings with an undefeated conference record.

Roosevelt University, new to the GLIAC this year, has a season record of 5-8 and is coming off an impressive win against Davenport with a score of 87-48. Their top scorers Luka Malinka, Marie Outlay, and Jayla Turchin combined for 48 points in their last victory. Roosevelt has improved its shooting performance since the start of the year.

This matchup marks the first meeting between GVSU and Roosevelt University.
