The Grand Valley State Lakers dive team hosted a diving competition at the GVSU Fieldhouse Pool, competing against Albion, Calvin, and Saginaw Valley State. The event concluded with five first-place finishes for the Lakers.
In the women's events, Maddie Kooistra set a new pool record in the 1-meter dive with a score of 497.20 over six dives. Bella Larson secured second place in the same event with a score of 260.15 from eleven dives and took first place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 246.30 over six dives.
For the men's team, Austin Clise achieved his first NCAA qualifying score by winning the 3-meter dive with a score of 324.40 over six dives. Aidan Busignani followed closely behind, taking second place in the same event with a score of 263.35.
Carter Wood won first place in the men's 1-meter dive with a score of 315.45 from six dives, while Mathew Blommel also claimed first place in this category with an impressive score of 480.90 over eleven dives.
