Grand Valley State University's women's basketball team is set to conclude its regular season with a game against Roosevelt University on Saturday. This match will take place in Allendale, Michigan, and marks the final game before the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament.

GVSU has already secured the top seed for the GLIAC Tournament and is aiming for the same position in regional rankings. Currently ranked as the number one seed in this week's NCAA regional rankings, GVSU holds an impressive 28-2 record. In their recent game against Davenport, GVSU claimed a decisive 80-32 victory. MacKenzie Bisballe contributed 17 points and seven rebounds, while Rylie Bisballe added 13 points and six boards. Paige Vanstee scored 11 points, with Nicole Kamin adding seven points, seven rebounds, and six assists. The Lakers are ranked second nationally by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and have won three consecutive games.

Earlier in the season, when these two teams met in Chicago, GVSU overcame an early deficit to secure a 70-51 win over Roosevelt. Nicole Kamin had a standout performance with 17 points, six rebounds, six assists, and five steals. Abrie Cabana added 10 points to the scoreline, while Hadley Miller made three triples to finish with nine points. MacKenzie Bisballe also contributed nine points and five blocks.

Roosevelt University enters this game following a strong February performance with a record of 7-2 for the month. They are currently sixth in the GLIAC standings with an overall record of 12-13 and a league record of 10-9. After losing to Northern Michigan earlier this week, they bounced back by defeating Davenport on Thursday night. Roosevelt's scoring average increased to 72 points per game during February from their season average of 65. Senior Luka Malika has been instrumental in this run by scoring double figures in ten consecutive games and ranks second in the GLIAC at 15.4 points per game. Jayla Turchin and Marie Outlaw are also key contributors for Roosevelt, ranking within the top twenty scorers in the conference.
