The Grand Valley State women's tennis team faced a narrow defeat against Rollins with a 4-3 score on Monday afternoon in Orlando. This result brings the Lakers' season record to 5-2.

In doubles, GVSU secured the point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions. Neus Ramos and Vale Mozas achieved a 6-3 win at the top spot, while Ipek Sakiroglu and Kalomoira Ralli dominated with a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles. However, Rachel Sam and Estefania Hernandez experienced a close loss, falling 4-6 at No. 4 doubles.

During singles play, Anna Soteras emerged victorious in a three-set match at No. 3 singles, winning 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. Estefania Hernandez also contributed with a straight-set win of 6-0, 6-3 at No. 4 singles. Conversely, Neus Ramos was defeated in two sets at the top singles position with scores of 5-7, 3-6. Vale Mozas lost her match at No. 2 singles by scores of 3-6, 3-6. Ipek Sakiroglu battled through three sets but ultimately fell short with scores of 4-6, 7-5, and 2-6 at No. 5 singles. Kalomoira Ralli was defeated in straight sets at No. 6 singles with scores of 3-6, and 2-6.

The Lakers are set to conclude their Florida trip against Tampa on Thursday morning in Lakeland, Florida, with the first serve scheduled for 10:00 AM.
