Postseason play for the Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's basketball team begins on Wednesday night as they host Michigan Tech in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament quarterfinals. The game is set to take place at 6:00 PM in the Fieldhouse.

The Lakers ended their regular season with a significant victory over Roosevelt, winning 116-62. MacKenzie Bisballe led the team with a career-high of 25 points, while Rylie Bisballe scored a season-high of 24 points and Abrie Cabana contributed 19 points. GVSU dominated in rebounds and forced numerous turnovers from Roosevelt, finishing the regular season with a record of 29-2 and ranked second in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association poll.

During the regular season, GVSU won both games against Michigan Tech. They first defeated them 93-52 in January and then again with a score of 69-51 in February. In these matchups, Rylie Bisballe and Abrie Cabana were notable contributors to GVSU's victories.

Michigan Tech secured the eighth seed after losing to Parkside on the final day of their regular season. The Huskies finished with an overall record of 12-16 and went 9-11 in league play. Despite some challenges earlier this year, including a four-game losing streak at the start of February, they managed to win three out of their last five games. Isabella Lenz leads Michigan Tech's scoring efforts with an average of 14.2 points per game.
