The Lakers had a promising start at the 2025 Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana. The team sent seven divers to the competition, and four of them will advance to the subsequent days.

In the women's 800 free relay, Lucy Hedley, Vittoria Proietti, Angelica Angilletta, and Katie O'Connell finished in fourth place with a time of 7:17.83. This performance broke a school record that had stood for nearly ten years by almost six seconds.

On the men's side, Matt Bosch, Austin Millard, Anton Rauch, and Carsyn Christoffel competed in the 800 free relay. They swam in lane six and secured sixth place with a time of 6:28.56.

The second day of the Championship will feature events such as the 200 IM, 50 free, 1000 free, women's 1-meter dive, and the 200 medley relay.

The Lakers are set to compete again on March 12 at 10 a.m. at the IU Natatorium. For updates on their progress, follow @gvsuswimdive on Instagram and @gvsuswim on Twitter.
