The Grand Valley State Lakers showcased strong performances on Day 3 of the National Championship in Indianapolis. Both the men's and women's teams secured fifth place, with scores of 144 and 119, respectively.
In the men's events, Esteban Nunez Del Prado finished 12th in the 100 fly with a time of 47.11, earning All-American honors. Matt Bosch achieved third place in the 200 free at 1:33.71 and was also named an All-American. Matthew Blommel scored a total of 521.60 to secure ninth place and an All-American title. The men's team for the 400 Medley Relay, consisting of Aaron Dies, Andrew Goh, and Matt Bosch, finished third with a time of 3:08.52, all receiving All-American recognition.
On the women's side, Katie O'Connell claimed third place in the 400 IM with a time of 4:16.36, breaking her own school record. Sara Alvarez finished in 14th place at 4:24.28 and earned an All-American title as well. Lucy Hedley took fourth place in the finals for the 200 free with a time of 1:47.12 and was named an All-American too.
The women's team for the 400 Medley Relay included Vittoria Proietti, Sara Alvarez, Alysa Wager, and Lucy Hedley; they secured ninth place with a time of 3:43.50.
