Drew Coble leads Ken Partridge Invitational as GVSU holds fifth place after day two

The GVSU men's golf team wrapped up the second day of the Ken Partridge Invitational, finishing in fifth place. Drew Coble, a member of the team, shares the top position on the individual leaderboard with just one round remaining.

Missouri S&T leads the team standings, finishing day two at even par, securing a three-stroke advantage. Wayne State follows closely at three over, with UIndy at +7 in third place. Ferris State is in fourth, carding a +8, while the Lakers hold fifth at ten over par.

Coble shares the top spot on the leaderboard with a score of four under par for the tournament. He completed a second round of 72 (E), which included three birdies and an eagle. Manuel Cue Vargas is tied for fifth place with a score of two under, following a second round of 75 (+3) that featured two eagles. Murphy Kehoe, tied for 23rd, carded a 73 (+1) today with four birdies, bringing his total to two over for the two rounds. Bryce Wheeler stands at four over, tied for 37th, with a second round of 72 that included three birdies and an eagle. Ryan Gallagher currently holds a tie for 92nd at +12 after his round of 81 (+9) with two birdies, while Charlie Cooley is tied for 97th with +14, finishing his round of 81 with two birdies.

The Lakers are set to conclude the tournament tomorrow with the final round of play.
