GVSU women's golf finishes second at NC4K Classic in Grove City

The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's golf team secured a second consecutive runner-up finish at the NC4K Classic, hosted by Ohio Dominican in Grove City, Ohio. The Lakers ended the competition 10 strokes behind the winners, Ferris State, who finished at +32, while GVSU concluded at +42. Gannon University followed in third place at +50, Ashland University in fourth at +59, and the hosts, Ohio Dominican, completed the top five with a score of +64.

Both Julia Sanchez and Olivia Stoll of GVSU contributed notably, each tying for sixth place with a score of +10. Sanchez recorded a final round of 76 (+4), which included an eagle and a birdie, whereas Stoll carded a 77 (+5) with three birdies. Additionally, Lea Stotz finished 12th, shooting an 82 (+10) in the last round with one birdie, reaching a total of +13. Evelyn Park and Charlotte Goersch tied for 15th place at +14. Park posted a 79 (+7) with one birdie, and Goersch ended with an 83 (+11), also achieving one birdie. Rachael Krieger concluded the event in 25th place with an 83, complemented by one birdie.

Looking ahead, the GVSU women's golf team is set to compete in the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational, hosted by Ohio State, on April 12th and 13th.
