The GVSU women's golf team is competing in the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational, their final event of the regular season. The Lakers are in ninth place among 11 Division I teams participating in the tournament held in Columbus, Ohio.
Ohio State, the host of the event, leads the standings with a score of nine over par. Kent State follows in second place at +15, while Michigan State is in third at +16. Rutgers holds the fourth position at +34, and Indiana is in fifth at +35. GVSU stands in ninth with a score of +50.
Olivia Stoll of GVSU had a notable performance, tying for seventh place. She recorded scores of 71 (-1) and 77 (+5), achieving eight birdies and an eagle to finish the day at +4. Teammates Paula Badino and Rachael Krieger both ended the day tied for 39th at +15, each shooting rounds of 80 (+8) and 79 (+7). Julia Sanchez scored rounds of 78 (+6) and 82 (+10), placing her in a tie for 40th at +16.
