GVSU men's golf team falls short against Wayne State in GLIAC semifinal

The GVSU men's golf team faced a narrow defeat in the GLIAC Championships medal match play semifinals against Wayne State, with a final score of 3-2. The event took place on a Saturday afternoon in Battle Creek, Michigan.

The advancement to the match play semifinals saw teams Ferris State, GVSU, Wayne State, and SVSU competing. While SVSU managed a victory over Ferris State, Wayne State secured their spot in the GLIAC Championship by overcoming the Lakers.

In the semifinals, Murphy Kehoe was successful in his match for GVSU. However, while Charlie Cooley and Drew Coble ended their matches in ties, teammates Manuel Cue Vargas and Bryce Wheeler were unable to win their respective games.

Looking ahead, GVSU is set to participate in the Regionals beginning on May 8 in St. Joseph, Missouri.
