Huizenga, originally from Zeeland, Michigan, is not only a political figure but also a significant online presence, highlighting both his political duties and personal reflections.

On April 21, 2025, Huizenga expressed condolences on the death of a prominent religious leader, stating, "Natalie and I are sad to learn of the passing of Pope Francis. He will be remembered for his compassion and life of service to others. Our hearts go out to the Christians around the world who mourn this loss. May he rest in peace." Subsequently, on April 22, 2025, Huizenga addressed a violent incident in South Asia. As the Chairman of the South and Central Asia Subcommittee, he tweeted, "I condemn the shocking terrorist attack, and I offer my condolences to the victims killed and injured in the Kashmir region of India." Celebrating military milestones the following day, on April 23, 2025, Huizenga commemorated a significant anniversary by posting, "Happy 117th Birthday to the U.S. Army Reserve! Today, we honor all the men and women who stand ready to provide critical support to our nation’s defense." This statement reflects his recognition of the contributions by the armed forces to national security.
