Grand Valley State women’s tennis team hosts NCAA tournament's first two rounds

The Grand Valley State women's tennis team has secured a spot in the NCAA Tournament, earning the second seed in the Midwest Region. The Lakers will host the first two rounds of the tournament at their home courts in Allendale, starting Monday, May 12.

GVSU is set to compete against the seventh-seeded Indianapolis Greyhounds in the opening round. The Lakers concluded their regular season with a 15-4 overall record and placed second in the GLIAC standings with a 7-1 conference record. They claimed victory in the GLIAC Tournament Championship by defeating Wayne State 4-3.

In addition to hosting Indianapolis, GVSU will also welcome third-seeded Findlay and sixth-seeded Rockhurst. Winners from these matches will face off in the second round on Tuesday, May 13 at 11:00 AM in Allendale.
