Rep. Bill Huizenga, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Michigan’s 4th district, has been actively engaging with constituents on social media regarding significant legislative and national developments. Born in Zeeland, Michigan, Huizenga has held his congressional seat since 2011 after succeeding Pete Hoekstra.

On June 20, 2025, Huizenga shared information about financial provisions in a bill titled "One Big Beautiful Bill." He highlighted specific elements such as "no tax on tips and no tax on overtime," encouraging people to use a calculator created by the White House to see how these measures could impact them personally. "Want to see how provisions such as no tax on tips and no tax on overtime in the One Big Beautiful Bill will positively impact you?" he wrote.

Later that day, Huizenga expressed support for Michigan's involvement in America's nuclear energy sector. He commented on the restart of the Palisades nuclear plant, emphasizing its role in providing energy and jobs for Southwest Michigan: "It is great to see Michigan continue to play a major role in America’s nuclear renaissance!"

On June 22, 2025, Huizenga addressed international security concerns involving Iran. He praised President Trump for taking action after diplomatic efforts and underscored the importance of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons: "After attempting to negotiate peace through diplomacy, President Trump took decisive action." He also commended the performance of U.S. Armed Forces personnel involved in these efforts.

Bill Huizenga was born in Zeeland, Michigan, in 1969 and graduated from Calvin College with a BA in 1991. He currently resides in Holland.
