Grand Valley State University senior women's lacrosse player Zoe Ziegler has been named to the College Sports Communicators First-Team Academic All-American team. This marks a significant achievement in her collegiate career.

Ziegler's performance on the field has been noteworthy. She received IWLCA All-Region honors for the first time, earning a place on the first team. Throughout the season, she achieved personal bests with 42 goals, 22 assists, 64 points, and 17 groundballs. Her contributions led to her selection to the GLIAC First-Team, with notable performances including nine hat tricks and five games where she scored five or more points. Over her career at Grand Valley State, Ziegler amassed 122 points from 82 goals and 40 assists and was recognized twice as an All-GLIAC player.

Academically, Ziegler excelled by graduating with a perfect cumulative GPA of 4.0 in biochemistry. She also won the prestigious NCAA Elite 90 award in 2023 for having the highest GPA at the NCAA Championships. Additionally, she was named three times to the GLIAC Academic Excellence team and earned one CSC Academic All-District honor.
