Seven athletes from Grand Valley State University have been recognized as Academic All-America honorees for the 2024-25 season in men's and women's track & field/cross country by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Myles Kerner, Klaudia O'Malley, and Natalie Graber were selected for the First Team. Scott Spaanstra received Third Team honors, repeating his previous selection from the 2022-23 season. Additionally, Myles Rhodes was named to the Second Team, while Koby Fraaza joined Spaanstra on the Third Team. Kaylee Diamond also secured a spot on the Second Team.
Myles Kerner earned First Team honors for a second time after being previously named in 2022-23. He has achieved significant success during his tenure at Grand Valley State, including winning NCAA DII indoor champion titles in shot put for two consecutive seasons and setting a new school record at GVSU's Kelly Family Sports Center.
Klaudia O'Malley and Natalie Graber are repeat selections to the Academic All-America teams. O'Malley competed solely in the outdoor season and won her first individual national title in the 1500m event. She helped lead her team to their first Outdoor National Championship since 2012 with impressive performances in both individual and relay events.
Graber finished her collegiate career with strong performances at NCAA DII Championships, including being named National Runner-Up in the women's 3000m during the indoor season. She holds several program records at GVSU and is pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
Kaylee Diamond earned her first CSC Academic All-America honor following an outstanding debut season at GVSU where she broke multiple high jump records.
Myles Rhodes contributed significantly to his team's achievements this season and closes out his career with numerous program records.
Koby Fraaza began his final year with notable finishes at cross country championships and continued to perform well during track & field seasons while maintaining a high GPA in biomedical sciences studies.
Scott Spaanstra repeated as an Academic All-American selection with solid performances throughout cross country and track & field seasons, earning multiple USTFCCCA All-America honors along the way.
