Grand Valley State University has appointed R.J. Boudro as the new head coach for its men's wrestling team, as announced by Keri Becker, the university's Director of Athletics. Boudro brings with him over a decade of experience from Lowell High School in Michigan, where he led one of the Midwest's top high school wrestling programs.

"We are absolutely thrilled to hire R.J. Boudro to lead our men's wrestling program," said Becker. "He was a unique candidate that got more impressive throughout the entire interview process. He possesses exceptional character, has the organizational abilities of a polished CEO, has a proven record in developing talent, and wins championships."

Becker expressed confidence that Boudro's leadership will elevate professionalism and character within the program. His extensive network and success at the high school level are expected to translate well into collegiate success.

Under Boudro's guidance, Lowell High School achieved significant accomplishments including 11 consecutive O.K. Conference Regular Season titles and MHSAA Division 2 Team State Championships among others. The program also produced numerous individual state champions and academic all-state honorees.

Boudro expressed his excitement about joining Grand Valley State University: "My family and I are truly excited about this new journey, and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to join Grand Valley State University as their new head coach."

Boudro has an impressive background as a wrestler himself, having competed collegiately at both the University of Michigan and Michigan State University with notable achievements in his career.

R.J. Boudro is married to Kelli, and they have four daughters: Dani (13), Brynlee (11), Lexi (8), and Carlee (6).
