Bill Huizenga highlights GENIUS Act passage and veterans’ support in latest statements

Rep. Bill Huizenga, who represents Michigan’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on social media regarding recent legislative progress and efforts to support veterans.

On July 17, 2025, Huizenga commented on House passage of a bill focused on digital assets, stating, "Today is a great day because it restores American leadership on digital assets. From my time chairing the Capital Markets Subcommittee, to being a leader on the digital assets working group, to House passage of the GENIUS Act today, I am proud to have helped shepherd a bill that".

The following day, he acknowledged efforts by the Department of Veterans Affairs with another post: "Great news! Keep working hard to serve our veterans @SecVetAffairs!" (July 18, 2025).

Later on July 18, Huizenga appeared on BloombergTV’s Balance of Power program and discussed bipartisan legislation. He wrote: "It was great to join @BloombergTV’s Balance of Power to discuss the bipartisan GENIUS Act heading to President Trump’s Desk! This legislation will help strengthen free markets, enhance entrepreneurship, and increase consumer choice. We can’t stop here, we must continue to advance".

Bill Huizenga has served in Congress since 2011 after succeeding Pete Hoekstra and previously held office in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in Zeeland in 1969 and currently residing in Holland at age 54, Huizenga is an alumnus of Calvin College where he earned his bachelor’s degree in 1991.
