Rep. Bill Huizenga, who represents Michigan’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared several updates on his official Twitter account regarding legislative efforts and local developments.

On July 22, 2025, Huizenga posted a congratulatory message to a fellow lawmaker: "Congratulations @USRepMikeFlood!"

The following day, July 23, he highlighted an initiative from the Trump Administration related to artificial intelligence and promoted his own legislation: "It is great to see the Trump Administration release America’s AI Action Plan that lays out why we need to pass my legislation, H.R. 3447. The Chip Security Act leverages new and existing location verification features for advanced AI chips to ensure chips are not shipped to bad"

On July 24, Huizenga commented on recent regulatory approval impacting Southwest Michigan: "A new chapter in American history is on the verge of being written right here in Southwest Michigan. Thanks to President Trump, Energy Secretary Wright, and hardworking Southwest Michigan residents, Holtec has received approval from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission to operate"

Bill Huizenga has served as a member of Congress since 2011 after replacing Pete Hoekstra. He previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in Zeeland, Michigan in 1969 and currently residing in Holland at age 54, Huizenga graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991.
