Rep. Bill Huizenga, U.S. Congressman representing Michigan’s 4th district since 2011, recently shared updates and acknowledgments on his social media accounts regarding national defense and military service.
On August 4, 2025, Huizenga recognized the anniversary of a key military branch, stating, "Happy 235th Birthday to the US Coast Guard! Thank you to all the brave men and women who have served in the @uscg to keep the Great Lakes and our nation safe!"
The following day, August 5, he commented on international defense efforts: "It is great to see multilateral defense collaboration on the planning and deployment of hypersonics. One of the most significant barriers to further cooperation is the bureaucratic red tape of the Missile Technology Control Regime. In July, @HouseForeignGOP passed my legislation," referencing recent legislative activity in Congress related to missile technology controls.
