Grand Valley State women’s golf remains second entering final round of Folds of Honor Challenge

Grand Valley State University's women's golf team remains in second place after the second round of the Folds of Honor Challenge, held in Allendale, Michigan. Findlay leads the tournament by a wide margin, holding a 28-stroke advantage and standing at two over par after 36 holes. The Lakers finished the day at +30, while Dallas Baptist and West Texas A&M are tied for third place, each just one shot behind Grand Valley State. Odessa holds fifth place at +33.

Charlotte Goersch led Grand Valley State's golfers with an even-par 71 in the second round, making two birdies and finishing tied for fourth overall at +1. June Hsiao shot an 80 (+9) with two birdies to finish tied for 13th at eight over par. Lea Stotz is tied for 17th at +11 after shooting a 77 (+6) that included three birdies. Rachael Krieger ended her round with an 80 to tie for 21st at +12.

Heida Rafnsdottir made three birdies during her round of 78 and finished the day tied for 26th with a score of +14. Skyler Tierney recorded two birdies in her round of 81 (+10), ending in a tie for 33rd at +18. Evelyn Park shot an 86 (+15), placing her in 41st at +24, while Lorena Saquicoray is in 51st place at +33 after also shooting an 86.

The final round will take place tomorrow morning, with Grand Valley State scheduled to tee off alongside Findlay and Dallas Baptist beginning at 8:50 a.m.
