Grand Valley State University will recognize seven former athletes with induction into its Athletics Hall of Fame on October 17, 2025. The ceremony, which will be held at the Raleigh J. Finkelstein Athletic Village Arena, marks the 39th class to join the institution's hall of fame.

The inductees for this year are Jenna Thayer (Swimming, 2006-09), Tyler Emmorey (Track & Field, 2008-12), Liz Murphy (Track & Field, 2009-13), Erin Mruz (Soccer, 2008-11), Chelsea Johnston (Women's Tennis, 2008-11), Adam Sandusky (Men's Tennis, 2004-07), and Michael Tennessee (Football, 2000-04).

A reception is scheduled to begin at 5:45 p.m., followed by the formal induction ceremony at 7 p.m.

"We are inducting another incredible class that represents everything that is great about Grand Valley State and GVSU athletics," said Director of Athletics Keri Becker. "Not only do they enter the Hall of Fame with outstanding athletic credentials, they also come in as outstanding individuals and we are excited to have them join an incredible group of Laker Hall of Famers. This group exemplifies what it means to be a Laker with competitiveness, hard work, growth and development," added Becker.

This year's honorees will join the ranks of the previous 195 members who have been inducted since the Hall of Fame was established in 1986. Plaques for all members are displayed in the Grand Valley State Fieldhouse Championship lobby.
