Grand Valley State leads after first round at Bulldog Fall Classic

Grand Valley State University's women's golf team is leading after the first round of the Bulldog Fall Classic, which began this morning in Big Rapids, Michigan. The Lakers finished the opening 18 holes with a team score of 298 (+10), putting them two strokes ahead of Ferris State, which sits at +12. Gannon University holds third place at +21, while Davenport and Tiffin are tied for fourth at +29.

Lea Stotz shares the top spot on the individual leaderboard after shooting a 70 (-2) and making four birdies during her round. Rachael Krieger is in fourth place with a score of 73 (+1), recording two birdies. June Hsiao is tied for eighth following her round of 77 (+5) that included one birdie.

Charlotte Goersch finished with a 78 (+6), tying for 16th place after making one birdie. Heida Rafnsdottir and Evelyn Park are both tied for 24th; Rafnsdottir shot a 79 (+7), while Park also made one birdie during her round. Skyler Tierney carded an 85 (+13) to tie for 60th, and Lorena Saquicoray ended the day tied for 65th after shooting an 86 (+14) with one birdie.

The tournament will conclude tomorrow as the Lakers return to the course for the final round.
