Rachael Krieger has been named the GLIAC Women's Golfer of the Week for the first time in her career, according to an announcement from the league office on Wednesday.
Krieger played a key role in helping Grand Valley State Lakers achieve two tournament wins recently. The team secured victories at both the Bulldog Fall Classic and Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite. At the Bulldog Fall Invite, Krieger finished as runner-up after shooting two rounds of 73 (+1) with five birdies over those rounds, ending at two over par. She continued her performance at the Laker Fall Invite by tying for third place, carding rounds of 71 (-1) and 73 (+1), making six birdies and finishing at even par.
The Lakers are scheduled to compete next Monday and Tuesday at the William Beall Fall Classic in Findlay, Ohio.
