Grand Valley State University's cross country program has again secured both Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors. Senior Lauren Kiley and redshirt-junior Báhozhóni Church received the recognition after their performances at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational, according to an announcement from the GLIAC.

Lauren Kiley was named GLIAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time this season. Competing in the Women's Blue Division 5k, Kiley finished with a personal-best time of 16:30.3 and placed 15th overall out of 179 athletes, most of whom represented NCAA Division I schools. Her result contributed just 14 points to Grand Valley State's team score, helping secure a fourth-place finish with 161 points. The Lakers placed ahead of 16 NCAA Division I programs.

Báhozhóni Church earned his first career GLIAC Athlete of the Week honor as Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week. He led his team in the Men's Blue Division 8k, finishing 20th with a personal-best time of 23:22.8. Grand Valley State competed against teams from 15 NCAA Division I institutions and Wisconsin–La Crosse, ranked highly in NCAA Division III. The Lakers achieved a fifth-place team finish with 158 points, trailing Purdue's total by just 12 points.

"The GLIAC announced the news earlier this afternoon via the conference website."
