Rep. Bill Huizenga, who represents Michigan’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several international and domestic issues through a series of posts on his official social media account.

On October 8, 2025, Huizenga commented on the ongoing crisis in Nepal, stating, "I continue to monitor the situation in Nepal where heavy rains, flooding, and landslides have killed dozens of people. My heart goes to those impacted by these storms. I am encouraged to see India offer assistance to Nepal during this tragic time."

The following day, on October 9, 2025, Huizenga responded to recent developments in the Middle East. He wrote, "This is a truly monumental announcement. President Trump has delivered on yet another major promise. Not only has he played a critical role securing the release of the remaining hostages, President Trump was instrumental in designing a road map to peace between Israel and Hamas."

Later that same day, Huizenga turned his attention to legislative matters within the United States. He posted, "Take note America ... The Republican-led House passed a clean, non-partisan 24 page continuing resolution to prevent this and other problems from happening more than two weeks ago."

Bill Huizenga has served as a member of Congress since 2011 after replacing Pete Hoekstra and previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in Zeeland, Michigan in 1969 and currently residing in Holland, Huizenga graduated from Calvin College with a BA in 1991.
