Grand Valley State University's cross country teams are set to end their regular season at the Bradley Pink Classic, taking place on Friday, October 17. The event will feature 38 Lakers competing in four races throughout the day. The men's 8k white division race begins at 12 p.m. CST, followed by the women's 6k white at 12:45 p.m., the men's 8k red invite at 1:30 p.m., and concluding with the women's 6k red invite at 2:15 p.m.
In the open divisions, twelve men and eight women from Grand Valley State will participate. Freshman Will Engbers will lead the men after his individual win at last week's Muskegon Jayhawk Invite, where he finished with a time of 25:13.1. On the women's side, redshirt-sophomore Katrina Sandman will compete after achieving a personal-best of 22:49.8 at her first race of the season, the Spartan Invitational.
The invite-only red division races will follow. Redshirt-freshman Iain Forrest will lead the Lakers in the men's red division, having posted a season-best 8k time of 24:38.2 at the Spartan Invitational. For the women, redshirt-sophomore Megan Postma will lead with her time of 22:06.4 from the same meet. Ten men and ten women from Grand Valley State are set to compete in these red division events.
