The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) Swim and Dive team is set to compete in a tri-meet at Calvin University, facing both Calvin and Saginaw Valley State. The event will be held at the Venema Aquatic Center, starting at 1:00 p.m.
Recently, the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released its national rankings, placing both the GVSU men's and women's teams fourth in the country.
The GVSU women's team enters the meet after securing victories against Hope, McKendree, and Saginaw Valley State. The men's team also recorded wins against these same schools.
During last week's GVSU Invite, the women's 200-yard freestyle relay team set a new school record in their first relay event. Additionally, Lucy Hedley, Olivia Kutsche, Evan Scotto DiVetta, and Carter Wood were recognized for their performances by sweeping the GLIAC Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors.
Coach Boyce commented on the team's focus going into this meet: "We are looking to get as many NCAA cuts and really focus on improving our strength and speed."
Fans can watch a live stream of the event. Updates will also be available through the team's Instagram (@gvsuswimdive), Twitter (@gvsuswim), and via Meet Mobile.
