Rep. Bill Huizenga addresses Nigeria violence and meets Kazakhstan president

Rep. Bill Huizenga, who represents Michigan’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted on social media about his legislative efforts and international meetings.

On November 5, 2025, Huizenga addressed violence against Christians in Nigeria by stating, "The slaughter of innocent Christians in Nigeria demands a strong response from the United States. Congressman Chris Smith and I are leading the charge in Congress to stop these heinous killings. H Res. 860 commends the Trump Administration for designating Nigeria as a Country of". He also shared a related link on the same day: https://t.co/AmIunM8r30.

The following day, November 6, 2025, Huizenga highlighted diplomatic engagement with Kazakhstan’s leadership: "It was great to meet with President of Kazakhstan today to discuss relations between our two nations! Thank you for the thoughtful conversation President Tokayev! https://t.co/p7vIECGIIg".

Bill Huizenga has served in Congress since 2011 after succeeding Pete Hoekstra and previously held office in the Michigan House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009. Born in Zeeland, Michigan in 1969 and currently residing in Holland, he graduated from Calvin College with a BA in 1991.
