Amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, state Sen. Roger Victory (R-Hudsonville) has issued calls for community support of local businesses and health care professionals, and noted the importance of a bipartisan, supplemental budget bill intended to reduce the impact of the restrictions.

In a recent Facebook post, Victory touted his vote in support of the bill, noting that restored funding for several programs will have a direct impact on Ottawa County. Those include funding for the High Water Public Infrastructure Repair Grants, Michigan Animal Agriculture Alliance, Ferrysburg Bridge and Pure Michigan.

It also included grants that go to support county fairs, shows and exhibitions.

In addition to calling attention to the efforts of Michigan's health care workers in handling the crises in a Facebook post, Victory has also posted a list of local businesses in Ottawa County that are offering carry-out and delivery services on his Facebook page.

His office is continuing to add to the list as suggestions come in from the community.
