Training Explores Causes of Poverty and Tools for Change

City of Holland issued the following announcement on Oct 22.

The City of Holland Human Relations Commission will host a four-week Lunch & Learn on “Bridges Out of Poverty,” from noon to 1pm at Herrick District Library, on Wednesdays, October 27 and November 3, 10 and 17. This free, community training is based on Dr. Ruby K. Payne’s research and teaching on understanding the dynamics that cause and maintain poverty from the individual to the systemic level. Todd Krygsheld, Executive Director of Escape Ministries and a certified trainer for Bridges Out of Poverty, will conduct the training. 

Bridges Out of Poverty is intended employers, community organizations, social service agencies, educators, healthcare providers, courts and law enforcement.
