Allegan Public Schools issued the following announcement on Feb 1.
Congrats go out to the the middle school swim and dive team which had six student athletes qualify for the state meet this past weekend.
The 200 medley relay team of John DeLaet, Sam Kelley, Ezra Smith, and Oliver Burnett finished 13th. The 200 free relay team (DeLaet, Kelley, Burnett, and Cadel Conrad), and the 400 free relay team (Burnett, Kelley, Smith, and Conrad) both finished ninth.
In individual events, Ezra Smith finished 12th in the 100 IM and 16th in the 50 fly. Eliza DeLaet finished 17th in the 100 IM and 8th in the 50 fly. Cadel Conrad finished 9th in the 50 free and was state champion in the 50 fly.
