ITS traffic cameras and traffic signal detection upgrade work

Please take notice ITS traffic cameras and traffic signal detection upgrade work on US-31, from Hayes Street to Jackson Avenue, is set to begin construction in the City of Grand Haven.

Closures will be daily from 9:00am to 3:00pm beginning November 14, 2022, thru November 23, 2022.  This work is weather dependent.

Replacement of the existing Vehicle Detection Nodes requires short duration (30-60 minute) mobile lane closures on NB and SB US-31 between Hayes Street and Jackson Avenue.  Closures will be limited to a single lane at a time at the intersection where work is being performed. These restrictions will be in addition to lane closures already in place on US-31 between Jackson Avenue and Third Street.

If you have any questions regarding this Press Release, please contact Marc Fredrickson, Muskegon Transportation Center, at 231-777-3451.

Thank you.
