The U.S. House of Representatives has approved H.R. 5921, a bill introduced by Congressman Bill Huizenga, aimed at sanctioning Iran and cutting off terrorism funding. The legislation, known as the No U.S. Financing for Iran Act, seeks to hold Iran accountable and limit its capacity to support terrorist activities and target Israel. The bipartisan bill secured a vote of 294-105 in the House following Iran's recent assault on Israel, a key ally of the United States.

In his statement following the successful passage of the bill, Congressman Bill Huizenga expressed his satisfaction with the outcome, stating, "Tonight, the House took decisive action." He further emphasized the significance of the No U.S. Financing for Iran Act, affirming, “The Act will help cut off Iran’s ability to finance terrorism. I am proud to lead this bipartisan effort to protect Americans, stand up for Israel, and hold the Iranian regime accountable for their actions.”

Prior to the vote, Congressman Huizenga addressed his colleagues on the House floor to underline the importance of the legislation. Video footage of his remarks during this session is available for viewing.
