GVSU women's golf ties for 12th after first NCAA Championship round

The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's golf team finished the first day of the NCAA Championships tied for 12th place. Dallas Baptist University leads with a score of four under par, while St. Mary's holds second at three under. Flagler and Findlay are both even par, sharing third place. Lee and West Texas A&M are tied for fifth at +1. GVSU completed the opening round with a score of 299, which is 11 over par.

Julia Sanchez achieved a score of 71 (-1), placing her in a tie for 11th position, having made four birdies during her round. Megan Miron is tied for 50th with a score of +2 after making two birdies in her round of 74. Paula Badino scored 76 (+4), tying her for 76th place. Olivia Stoll ended the day tied for 96th at +6 with one birdie in her round of 78, while Rachael Krieger's round of 79 (+7) placed her in the 100th position.

GVSU is scheduled to tee off again at 11:40, alongside Lynn and Southwest Oklahoma State.
