GVSU women's golf team finishes third at UMSL Spring Invitational

The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) women's golf team concluded their regular season with a third-place finish at the UMSL Spring Invitational in St. Louis, Missouri. The tournament saw the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) secure first place with a score of +19, followed by Findlay in second at +24. GVSU completed the event with a score of 304 (+20), placing them third overall.

Host team University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) finished fourth with a score of +57, while Harding took fifth place at +61.

Olivia Stoll led the Lakers with a final round score of 74 (+3), which included three birdies, securing her an eighth-place finish at +11. Her teammates Paula Badino, Julia Sanchez, Rachael Krieger, and Megan Miron all tied for 20th place at +17. Badino recorded four birdies during her round of 74, Sanchez shot a 78 (+7) with one birdie, Krieger made one birdie in her round of 80 (+9), and Miron had four birdies in her round of 78 (+7).

Looking ahead, the Lakers will begin postseason play this weekend as they travel to Gull Lake, Michigan for the GLIAC Championships.
