GVSU women's golf team stands third after two rounds at UMSL Spring Invitational

The GVSU women's golf team is competing in their final tournament of the regular season at the UMSL Spring Invitational. After two rounds, the Lakers hold third place with two golfers positioned in the top ten.

Currently, UIndy leads the tournament at nine over par, holding a five-stroke advantage. Findlay follows in second place at +14, with the Lakers trailing behind at +33. UMSL is six strokes behind GVSU, and Harding sits in fifth place at +42.

Two Laker golfers, Olivia Stoll and Rachael Krieger, are tied for eighth position at eight over par. Stoll recorded rounds of 77 (+6) and 73 (+2), achieving four birdies throughout the day. Krieger posted scores of 76 (+5) and 74 (+3), making two birdies in each round. Megan Miron shares 17th place with a score of +10 after rounds of 80 (+9) and 72 (+1), accompanied by six birdies. Julia Sanchez also holds a tie for 17th, scoring three birdies and an eagle across her rounds of 77 (+6) and 75 (+4). Paula Badino is tied for 35th after making three birdies during her rounds of 77 (+6) and 79 (+8).

The Lakers will complete their final round of the tournament tomorrow.
