The Grand Valley State track and field team concluded their participation in the Al Owens Classic on Saturday, April 20th, finishing the remaining field events.

In the men's pole vault, Wyatt Alwine led the Lakers by securing first place with a height of 4.93 meters. He was followed by Colton Emeott, who cleared 4.78 meters to finish second. Jacob Krutsch achieved a height of 4.63 meters for third place, while David Conrad tied for fourth with a clearance of 4.48 meters.

For the women's pole vault, Miranda Firari shared first place with a height of 3.85 meters. Lily Renfrew secured third place by clearing 3.70 meters, and Kendyl Hahlen finished fourth with a height of 3.55 meters.

In the men's triple jump event, Harold Gee took second place with a leap measuring 12.20 meters.

The men's javelin saw Preston Nichols and Will Gaston taking first and second places respectively for Grand Valley State. Nichols achieved a throw of 50.83 meters while Gaston recorded a distance of 48.48 meters.

Alaina Omonode emerged victorious in the women's hammer throw invite with a distance of 55.23 meters, followed closely by Shelby Ulven who threw for 54.55 meters to secure second place. On the men's side, Shane Byrne won first place with a throw measuring 55.92 meters.
