At the Bobcat Invitational, "27 athletes and four relay squads" are expected to compete.

The sprints crew is slated for several events including hurdles and relays at both Texas locations. The throws team will tackle discus, hammer, and shot put at both meets as well. The jumps crew has a significant presence at the Bobcat Invitational with men's and women's long jump participants, while a men's high jump trio will compete on the final day of the Texas Relays.

In North Carolina, Grand Valley's distance team will begin their competition at the Raleigh Relays on March 28 with five athletes running in the 1500m event. Notably, Caleb Futter returns to outdoor competition following his National Championship win in indoor mile racing; he is entered in the men's 3000m steeplechase.

Additionally, five athletes are set for the 5000m race later that evening: Cal Yackin, Ryan Ruppert, Daniel Lambert, Conor Somers, and Koby Fraaza. The first day concludes with two Lakers competing in the men's 10,000m event.

Overall, this weekend represents a significant opportunity for Grand Valley State's track and field program to showcase their talents across multiple disciplines and venues.
