The Grand Valley State women's tennis team secured a decisive 4-0 victory over Ferris State in the GLIAC Semifinals on Saturday morning at the Midland Tennis Center. This win propels the Lakers into the GLIAC Championship, where they will face Wayne State.

GVSU started strong by winning the doubles point. Taylor Barrett and Neus Ramos achieved a 6-0 victory at the No. 1 doubles position, while Estefania Hernandez and Vale Mozas followed with a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles.

In singles matches, Rachel Sam extended GVSU's lead to 2-0 with her 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles. Neus Ramos furthered the lead to 3-0 by winning her match at No. 4 singles with scores of 6-1, 6-4. The final point came from Vale Mozas, who clinched the match with a straight-set win of 7-6, 6-2 at No. 6 singles.

The championship match against Wayne State is scheduled for Sunday morning at Midland Tennis Center, starting at 10:00 AM.
