Grand Valley State women's tennis ends season after NCAA regional loss

The Grand Valley State women's tennis team concluded their season with a loss to Indianapolis in the NCAA Midwest Regional. The match ended with a 4-2 score, leaving the Lakers with a final season record of 14-10.

Indianapolis secured the doubles point by winning at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions. Vasileia Griva and Rachel Sam faced a challenging match, resulting in a 2-6 defeat at No. 2 doubles. Similarly, Estefania Hernandez and Vale Mozas lost their match at No. 3 doubles with the same scoreline.

In singles play, Neus Ramos delivered an impressive performance with a commanding 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles. Vale Mozas also secured a win for the Lakers, defeating her opponent with scores of 6-3, 7-6 at No. 6 singles. However, Vasileia Griva was unable to maintain her momentum in a three-set battle at the top singles position, losing 6-4, 4-6, 2-6. Taylor Barrett and Rachel Sam also faced defeats in their respective matches; Barrett lost 2-6, 4-6 at No. 2 singles while Sam fell short with scores of 3-6, 1-6 at No. 5 singles.
