Joshua Hurt, Natalie Graber, and Eli Kosiba have been recognized as the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Track & Field Athletes of the Week. The announcement came from the conference office on Tuesday following their performances at the GVSU Holiday Open.

Hurt participated in the 60m hurdles for the Lakers during Friday's meet. He secured first place with a time of 7.99 seconds, improving his previous record by 0.9 seconds. This achievement places him third in Grand Valley State's all-time indoor 60m hurdles records.

Graber competed in the women's 3000m run, finishing third with a time of 9:29.25. This was her first appearance in a Laker uniform since she exhausted her cross-country eligibility before the 2024 season.

Kosiba began his competition with a height of 1.84m and progressed to clear a height of 2.24m, surpassing his previous record of 2.23m. Opting to skip over the 2.27m mark, he cleared an NCAA Division II indoor high jump record height of 2.30m on his second attempt.
