Burglary suspect sought after theft at Holland gaming store

A burglary at the Super Hideaway Gaming store in Holland, Michigan, is under investigation by local authorities. The incident occurred on November 10, 2024, when officers from the Holland Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a broken window at the store located on S. Washington Ave. It was confirmed that trading cards were stolen during the break-in.

Detectives assigned to the case have been actively investigating and reviewing surveillance footage from a nearby store in the same plaza. This led to identifying a suspect vehicle and obtaining a search warrant for it. During the search, many stolen cards from the Super Hideaway store were recovered.

As of January 24, 2025, an arrest warrant has been issued for Eric Joseph Cody, a 39-year-old resident of Grand Rapids. He faces one count of burglary with forced entry. Detectives have not yet located Mr. Cody and are seeking public assistance in finding him.
