For the second time, Eli Kosiba from Grand Valley State has been recognized on The Bowerman Mid-Indoor Watch List. This announcement was made by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA). The update follows the organization's preseason watch list.

The Bowerman, first awarded in 2009, honors collegiate track and field's top male and female athletes annually. According to the USTFCCCA, members of The Bowerman Advisory Board create these watch lists by voting on their current top ten athletes in collegiate track and field. Those listed as "receiving votes" appear on at least one member's top ten but do not have enough votes to make it into the consensus top ten. There are eight watch lists released during the season.

Kosiba's inclusion marks only the second instance in Grand Valley State history where an athlete has received votes for this esteemed award. Previously, he was also noted on The Bowerman Preseason Watch List released in early January.

During the 2024-25 indoor track and field season, Kosiba has competed in three meets, securing victories in all. He matched a 17-year-old Division II high jump record by clearing 2.30m (7-6.5) at his season opener, surpassing his personal best as well as records held by Grand Valley State and the Kelly Family Sports Center. Since then, he has consistently achieved heights of 2.20m (7-2.5) or more.
