Grand Valley State University's track and field athletes have once again been recognized with GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors. This marks the fifth consecutive week that GVSU athletes have received these accolades, as announced by the conference.

Lilly Alberts was named Women's Track Athlete of the Week following her debut performance at the GVSU Mike Lints Alumni Meet. Competing in the 800m event, Alberts finished first with a time of 2:11.64. This achievement not only set a personal best for the Harper College transfer but also placed her in Grand Valley State's All-Time Indoor Record Book as having the 10th fastest time in program history. Her performance met the NCAA Division II indoor track & field provisional mark of 2:13.89.

Jonathan Rankins-James earned recognition as GLIAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for his high jump performance at the same meet. In his fifth meet of the season, Rankins-James successfully cleared 2.20m (7-2.5) after several attempts since December. He started his jumps at 2.05m (6-8.75) and progressed through various heights before achieving this milestone on his third attempt, becoming the fourth Laker to clear this height this season.

Brooke Bowers received GLIAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honors for her performances across two meets over the weekend. At Friday's Jud Logan Light Giver Collegiate Open, she recorded a fourth-place height of 3.93m (12-10.75). On Saturday, during her participation at the GVSU Mike Lints Alumni Meet, Bowers excelled by clearing multiple heights up to 4.15m (13-7.25), which she achieved on her third attempt, winning the event and setting a new personal best while marking it as the fourth-best height in program history.
