For the sixth week in a row, Grand Valley State University (GVSU) athletes have been recognized by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) for their performances in indoor track and field. This week's honorees include Sam Allen, Myles Kerner, and Shelby Ulven.

Sam Allen has been named the GLIAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week following his participation in the 800-meter event at the GVSU Big Meet. Allen was the first among his teammates to finish and secured third place overall with a time of 1:49.24. This personal best places him second in GVSU's all-time indoor records and ninth in NCAA Division II.

Myles Kerner earned recognition as the GLIAC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. During the Big Meet, Kerner excelled in both shot put and weight throw events. He achieved a season-best shot put distance of 19.69 meters, breaking his own record at Kelly Family Sports Center. This performance ranks him first in NCAA Division II and fifth across all divisions.

Shelby Ulven received her first GLIAC Athlete of the Week honor as an indoor field athlete after competing in weight throw at the same meet. On her third attempt, she recorded a throw of 19.28 meters, surpassing her previous best from earlier this season. Ulven now holds seventh place all-time within GVSU's program history and is ranked sixth in NCAA Division II women's weight throw rankings.
