Grand Valley State University's track and field teams are set to conclude their regular indoor season with a Senior Day event at the GVSU Tune-Up this Friday. The event will take place at the Kelly Family Sports Center, with field events starting at 1 p.m. and running events following at 1:30 p.m. A ceremony to honor 43 seniors is scheduled for around 4:30 p.m., just before the 4x400 relays.

The senior athletes have collectively achieved significant milestones during their time at Grand Valley. They have earned 91 All-America honors by finishing in the top eight at NCAA Track & Field Championships or in the top 40 at NCAA Cross Country Championships. The group has made 118 national championship appearances and participated in 196 GLIAC Championship events, securing top-five finishes on 208 occasions. Notably, they have won four national titles across various championships hosted on GVSU grounds.

Approximately half of these seniors are expected to compete in Allendale, while others will participate in different competitions. Sprints and hurdles coach Eric Kramer will lead five male athletes to the Silverston Invitational in Michigan. Michael McNeil is set to compete in both the 60m and 200m events, with Desmond Chapa, Vincent Giuliano, and Myles Rhodes joining him for the latter race. Rhodes, Giuliano, and Pray will also run in the 400m.

Additionally, four GVSU athletes will represent their school at the USATF Indoor Championships in New York City. Seniors Eli Kosiba, Jonathan Rankins-James, Myles Kerner, and Erika Beistle are among those competing. Beistle will participate in the Women's Shot Put Final on Saturday afternoon, while Kosiba and Rankins-James will compete in men's high jump on Sunday morning. Kerner is scheduled for the men's shot put later that day.

Tickets for the GVSU Tune-Up can be purchased online; however, Grand Valley State students can attend free of charge with a valid student ID. Live results will be available through Fairchild Sports Timing's website, and fans can watch the meet via FloTrack's multi-event viewing option.
