Homicide suspect apprehended at travel center in Holland

Last week, on March 6, the Holland Department of Public Safety (HDPS) was alerted by the Cook County South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force about a homicide suspect potentially located in Holland. The suspect's vehicle was tracked via GPS to the Pilot Travel Center on M40 in Holland.

Patrol officers responded to the location and identified the vehicle in the parking lot. While maintaining surveillance, they awaited the arrival of a tactical team. Upon their arrival, officers approached and successfully apprehended the suspect from the vehicle.

The incident took place at 270 S River Avenue, Holland, MI 49423.
