GVSU men's golf team ranks sixth after first day in Tennessee

The Grand Valley State University (GVSU) men's golf team participated in the Tennessee River Rumble, concluding the first round and most of the second round in sixth place. The tournament took place in Lenoir City, Tennessee.

Lenoir-Rhyne University leads after the first day with a score of -5. Wingate University follows closely at -3, while Lincoln Memorial University, the host, stands at one over par. North Georgia is fourth at +4, ahead of Anderson University at +5. GVSU trails in sixth position with a score of +6.

Bryce Wheeler is leading for GVSU, tying for eighth place with a score of -1. Drew Coble is tied for 22nd at one over par, Manuel Cue Vargas is tied for 28th at two over par, Ryan Gallagher is tied for 41st with a score of +4, and Charlie Cooley finished tied for 71st at +8.

The Lakers will complete their second round and proceed to the third round tomorrow as they wrap up their participation in Tennessee.
